Nyati Beach Lodge is located on the San Sebastian peninsula in the beautiful and undisturbed Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary in the Southern Mozambique's east coast. The Beach Lodge is surrounded by sea on three sides - the Indian Ocean, the Bazaruto Archipelago and the Inhambane Estuary. (See Bazaruto Archipelago to read more about the Nature Reserve). To the south the isthmus is connected with the reserve's large bush and wetlands. From the Beach Lodge 10 kilometers of private undisturbed beaches stretches out as far as the eye can reach. The accommodation of Nyati Beach Lodge is guaranteed to give you the feeling of having you own house right on the beach. The city of Vilanculos in the lnhambane province is the closest major town and can be reached from the Beach Lodge by helicopter or boat. By helicopter the trip from the Beach Lodge takes approx. 15 minutes and by boat the trip takes approx. 60 minutes trip across the historic Mozambique canal. The travel distance from the Beach Lodge to Maputo is approx. 620 kilometers.
Travelling to Nyati Beach Lodge by Vilanculos
There are regular flights to the coastal town of Vilanculos from Johannesburg in South Africa and from Maputo in Mozambique. Guests from Europe typically travel on scheduled flights to Johannesburg. Following a change of flights the travel from Johannesburg is continued by either chartered flight to Vilankulo Airport or by scheduled flight (e.g. Pelican Airways) to Vilanculos, where the international immigration and Mozambique customs authorities are located.
