A dream comes true

What makes the mountaineer want to climb higher and the adventurer travel deeper into the jungle? The pursuit of a dream? What are dreams made of? There is no final answer - one common denominator is passion and a longing to explore - passion and the pursuits it inspires. When we opened our own safari lodge in South Africa, the Nyati Safari Lodge, it was like a dream come true. We followed our idea and allowed ourselves to be inspired by the country. We overcame all obstacles - made the impossible possible, creating a luxurious holiday oasis in the midst of the African bush, where travelers could enjoy the perfect safari vacation without compromise.

The Travel Concept evolves

The Nyati travel concept was not only viable - it was a vacation success and travelers from all over the world were travelling here to enjoy the Nyati holiday experience. New dreams arose and the idea had to be developed and taken further somewhere else - but where? Could the grand nature and beautiful environment of the bush be surpassed? Yes, but in one way only, by adding the amazing secrets of the ocean. A journey to neighboring Mozambique gave us the answer. Here the beautiful Bazaruto Archipelago offers dazzling, white sandy beaches, clear turquoise water and one of the world's most beautiful coral reefs – a true beach holiday paradise in Mozambique, where diving, big game fishing, snorkeling and any other water sport can be enjoyed to the fullest.

The Nyati Beach Lodge

The combination of the mystery of the ocean and myriads of fish and corals was perfect. In establishing the Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary the ideal setting was given to create a new Nyati travel experience based on eco-tourism principles. 30,000 hectares of paradise in the Bazaruto Archipelago right next to the Indian Ocean by the city of Vilanculos. The world’s first sanctuary embracing terrestrial and marine wildlife, less than 2 hours travel from Johannesburg and just 1 hour travel from Maputo.

This unique project is supported by the International Bank, Nature Conservation Corporations and worldwide dedicated nature lovers with the objective to create the first eco-tourism destination of Mozambique. At Nyati Beach Lodge guests are for the first time able to experience this unspoiled utopia.
